Computer Beats Chess Champ Kasparov 17 Years Ago

On February 10, 1996, IBM's Deep Blue computer beat Gary Kasparov in chess. Champion Kasparov won the match, but Deep Blue won the 1997 match. That certainly meets the Turing Test for machine intelligence!
